Sewing Project Has Finished after 3 Rounds and 30 Students!

Saturday July 27, 2024 at the Hope center in Bishkek, the sewing project, which began with a meeting, concluded with a final meeting!
We celebrated with an appreciation meeting where they recalled memories of the initial meeting on September 2023, when we first discussed their needs and requests for assistance, which led us to begin the language courses and then the sewing project. At the end of the meeting, Rebekah prayed for them and spoke a blessing from the Lord over them. On this day the air conditioning was out, the weather was hot, still the women enjoyed their time together with joy.
Many of these ladies shared their favorite memories from their training. Here are some of the testimonials:
Shafiqa shared, “Besides learning tailoring skills, we also learned how to be on time.”
Rahela said the sewing project affected her life very positively. “This project gave me hope.”
Madina said, “This project changed my life, now I have income.”
Yasamin said, “Through this project we come out of home, out of stress and depression, now we have occupation, we met new people and have new friends and we will keep this friendship.”

The sewing project was very successful, and it has positively influenced the life of 30 Afghan refugee families. They had some new requests for assistance, and we will try to help them as much as possible.
